Journal Two From Prem Naidu

Hi my name is Prem, well my full name is Premananda Naidu, but not many people can pronounce that right, so I go by Prem. I am sophomore at OSU and majoring in Architecture and Engineering. I moved here in 2011 from India. One of the interesting facts about me would be my name 'Prem' which means LOVE and I always have a smile on my face because I just do. some of my hobbies are playing video games 'Super smash Bro' with my friends, volunteering, and photography.

Over this long weekend, I read 45 pages of the Holding On. The one story or the theme got me more interesting is the Moreese Bickham's, who is a prisoner since 1958. The author went to interview him for his radio and asked him few questions. Morseese was a Navy man and got discharged honorably. He went to prison for murdering two white deputies in Mandeville. He didn't get any fair trials and no one testify behalf him. He stayed in the prison for long time and saw lots of other criminals come and go. Inside him, he knew one day he will get out of prison and had faith on God. He quoted some good inspiring word in his talk with the author some of them are: "As long as there is life, there is hope", " Hope does something for a man - it makes him hang on to what little he got to get more, But if he lose that, there is nothing to hang on to.". At end he got out of prison in 1996 and went Oakland, California to live with his wife and children.
