Journal Three Nick Looker

"Eccentricity" or "Eccentric" is defined as someones behavior that may be odd or strange. Should eccentric people be labeled as weird and odd, or even described as borderline insane? I honestly don't know if eccentrics care. People like Pablo Picasso, Allen Ginsberg and many other creative minds have been labeled as eccentric. It may be out of the traditional life style to have an eccentric behavior that is unusual from the typical society's views on personality. Ginsberg used his eccentric personality in a productive way to lead speeches in gay right, freedom of speech and other important stances that has been shaping our country to this day. Many people with this behavior have a role in trying to make the world a better place or not entirely believing what everyone else believes. That is what makes them so unique and creative.

Many people can have traits of being eccentric or different. Not everyone will see the behavioral traits of each ones eccentricity because I believe many people try to hide their strange and weird personalities. Everyone should embarrass their eccentric traits. I notice some traits of eccentricity in myself in the particular uniqueness of ideas and political stances I stand for. Im proud of my stances and behavior I act in because thats what makes myself unique and one of a kind in my opinion.

In reading "Holding On" my discovery I made was, the total value of all the rocks and minerals which make up the Grotto of the Redemption is over 4 million dollars worth. My original question I was researching for was, "what was the exact reason for the construction of the Grotto" This link will show further facts and information about the formation on the creation of the Grotto and other interesting facts.

  1. Should eccentrics care? Are there any places where they should tone it down a little or should they keep going full force? I don't believe people should shy away from what they enjoy doing.

Here you described your political stance as eccentric, how? What is out of the ordinary of your views and what might others think of these stances?
