Journal 3 - Tyler Bair

Eccentricity is a term used for an odd sort of people, who are good at what they do, but to call them "normal" would be a disservice to their individuality. I think eccentricity should always be encouraged, everything has its use but it's how you use it is the key. If you're good at selling things, that is a very useful tool that can be used in almost every situation. For Example: if you are at a job interview, using your innate abilities to make yourself seem like an interesting person on the outside, will make them interested on what more you have to offer them. There are different people with all sorts of differing views, too many to count.

I feel all eccentricities are a good thing, but the trick is to use them at the right time. I equate eccentricity to talent. Usually people with the same talents and eccentricities will gather around one another, bonded by their natural abilities. They'll share stories and little tricks they've gained through the years. These tricks get passed down by word of mouth and with practice.

    How am I eccentric?
Everyone has their own little way of standing out from the crowd. I have a natural proficiency in instruments and I love to sing (although I may not be very good at it). My favorite to play is definitely the piano, all of the keys make sense to me as it's all laid out bare.

  1. I agree with your second paragraph, all eccentricities are good things. I am interested in photography and i have a friend who is also interesting in photography, so we get together and got to take some pictures. Now, we have like 3-5 people who join us when we go for photoshoot.

  2. I like your post and how you stated eccentric is a good thing if used in the right way. People may have unusual talents to show the world and that I agree with.
