Well done: The introduction was well done. I liked specifically how you started out by defining what a "hedge fund" actually is. It would have been a tragic (and common!) mistake to gloss over this little bit of information and assume we all knew. I'm appreciative, because I had no idea what a hedge fund actually was.
ReplyDeleteConstructive criticism: I wished you would have fleshed out the comparison with MLK a little more. Maybe dedicated a slide to it?
Well done on your presentation. I enjoyed the definitions you provided us to help explain some of the things Jones is involved in. It was very informative on a person I didn't have a clue about! My only criticism's are that it seemed like you were reading off the slides a lot and it felt like the material was being dragged on, it needed a little something extra to spice it up!
ReplyDeleteThe presentation was very informative. The pictures of the charts was helpful in illustrating how he predicted the future crash. The fact that he follows his donations and makes sure they are used well is very interesting. My only criticism would be that his own foundation efforts were just touched briefly when it seemed he really goes in depth with it. Overall it was very interesting in his story of how he achieved his success.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the presentation guys! I agree with Ruksana, I was wondering right when you said "hedge fund" what exactly that was. Im glad you guys defined it so we could all get a better understanding. My only criticism was that since there was a lot of numbers and specific dates that you could have clarified a little more on what they all really meant.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED the presentation. Such an interesting guy I've never heard of. Its crazy that he sustained such a small loss during the great recession, even Buffet lost more than that!
ReplyDeleteThe presentation was very well done! You also gave the visual of what you guys talked about with pictures, graphs etc. The one line I really like from your presentation was when you said - His main goal is to help the poverty in New York city.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed you guys's presentation. It was very meaty and full with a lot of information. I really enjoyed how much you guys know about Paul. I feel like for Jarrod, with your math related major, you really flourished during this presenation. You and Derrick really seemed in your element talking about business, stratetgies, and success.
ReplyDeleteSomething about the presenation I enjoyed is the picture you guys took straight out of the documentary. It's a "striaght out of the source" picture. Very nice. I think it would have been more effective to add more graphics throughout the presenation. Other than that, great job guys!
