Malala Yousafzou

  1. Malaya Yousafzai's life has been a lot tougher than many people here in the United States experience throughout their whole life but that has not stopped her. The fact that she has done so much at such a young age is very empowering. The fact that the she was targeted and shot shows how important she is to a lot of people. When she speaks, she speaks for 66 million women in the same situation as her, I thought these were the best words in your presentation. That is awesome! Great Work!

  2. I was hoping you would tell her shooting story, I have a question though, was the doctor who saved her Pakistani himself? If so, it really brings to light the fact there are many people who support the idea of women receiving standardized education.

  3. Well done: The slides were really beautiful and well done. I also liked how well structured everything in the presentation was, it was clear what your reasons were and why Malala is a truly inspiring person. Nice work!

Constructive criticism: I wish you would have included a video of her speaking. It would have been very powerful to hear her voice.

  4. Malala is truly a beam of light. The amount of courage that one has to have in order to take a stand against the Taliban is just unfathomable. Hopefully she keeps taking a stand for all the women in oppressed countries that don't have a voice for themselves.

  5. I remember studying her stories when I was in high school and about Talbet. I think it was very well organized and good direct quotes from here. Like one of our fellow class mate mentioned, it would been nice to hear her voice.

  6. I'm really glad someone picked Malala to research and it was a really nice presentation! My only critique is to work on not talking super fast or super quiet when you're nervous.

  7. Malala is definitely a modern visionary with regards to oppressed women. I remember hearing her story and seeing her all over the media, and it was almost as if she suddenly disappeared. So, I'm really glad someone did a presentation on her. My only critique would be to include a video of her speaking. However, I really loved the use of her quotes.

  8. Im glad you guys did Malala because I have never heard of her and I could obviously see how much of a visionary she was. You guys did a great job on your presentation! Very informational presentation about her whole young life. My only criticism is I would have liked to see or hear her speak and feel her passion.

  9. Malala is the type of person I heard all about, but never took the time to really research. I know about her story, and I know aout her awards, but I did not know about how in-depth ger life went. You guys did a good job with telling her story and relating it to a student standpoint. Saying Malala and her classmates were afraid of leaing for break break because they did not know if their school would be there for them when they get back. And then you related it back to us saying we are always so happy and excited about break- merely because we don't know what others have gone through. I believe a video of her speaking would have been very powerful! You guys did great.
